Topics covered

Songs, bhajans; sargam ( Indian solfège ); raga (The Indian melodic system) and tala (the rhythmic system).

The school is also open to occidental music. There is the possibility to study harmony, modal music, solfege.

Students may bring any instruments they play, western or oriental. General information on Indian music or dance

Teacher: Pandit Ashok Pathak.
 Students will have the possibility to study with Ashok Pathak directly, either in private courses, or during our summer seminars.

Bert Cornelis is a disciple and has studied many years with Pandit Ashok Pathak. Bert can help the beginners for technical questions. 

Ashok comes about once a month in Brussels.

Daniel has studied with Ashok Pathak and Dhruba Gosh. He has studied vocal music with Pandit Jasraj, Shaila Piplapure, Rita Ganguli. Also Bansuri with Ronu Majumdar and Harsh Wardan.
