Ensemble Karo: The Ensemble Karo, was founded by Daniel Schell around 1980. Its purpose is to create electro-acoustic music in various instrumental or vocal environments. The Ensemble Karo has been accompanying the Operas and various works of Daniel with soloists singers, choirs and musicians, ranging from 30 to ...2. The main ideas which Daniel has brought in his music through this ensemble are the improvisation mixed with the formal reading, the musical theatre, the usage of multi-media, the computers, the usage of the tap-guitar and various new instruments. Besides the classical contemporary music, the ensemble has been involved with different types of music including Indian, African, Hungarian and others. Daniel Schell and Ensemble Karo have already recorded 'Gira Girasole' a
set of compositions based on popular melodies from Italy. The CD was produced
by the Bigazzi brothers and is published on their label 'Materiali Sonori',
Firenze.
'Baies sources' based on the original folk songs which inspired Bela Bertok. Daniel had this idea of 'eternal recyclage' when visiting the Bartok Museum in Budapest. 'Rose au lie' based on a Greek folk tune brought in by Isabella.
