Techniques of tapping for the American groove. Jim analyses the playing of great American guitar masters and adapt their techniques to the tap-guitar.
Presents the long awaited 6th and last volume of his 'Path'. That will include, improvisation techniques in new Music, Indian rhythms and modes, polyrhytms, phasing rhythmic motives between hands.
Other main subject this year The repeated notes. They are a source of problems for many tappers. You know that in order to acquire a nice legato style, you have to alternate fingers on a repeated note. Suppose you have to play fast the phrase G E D C. No problem! But there comes G G E D C, or worst G G G E D C, or G E E D C. More info in Daniel's class.
Jazz technique. From te simplest to the most elaborate, Wolfgang teaches the secrets of Jazz harmony on the tap-board. That includes the piano techniques of George Shearing, or the guitar secrets of Pat Martino
Kuno will hold the rhythm practice Workshop all the afternoons and accompany the students on drums.
The Ray Ashley Tribute
Almost one year that the great American tapper and accordionist Ray Ashley left us, leaving a rich heritage of African Shona music, and several adaptations of classical Piano by Scriabine, .... We study his scores in group.
