Afternoon Master Classes

Teaching from Ray Ashley : Ray's master class was in fact based on his arrarangement of  Borodin's  'Dans les steppes de l'Asie Centrale'. This arrangement is written for two tiptars. Ray played an 8 str tiptar in fourths.  Ola Rinta Koski played the other 10 str tiptar, tuned in Chapman Fifths-Fourths. Both the arrangement and the interpretation were excellent.

Teaching from Adam Fulara:

Adam, for his first visit to E-Tap, had concentrated himself on Bach. He commented and played Bach - Aria from Goldberg Variations, BWV 848, parts of first Goldb. Var., BWV 847, Mozart Allegro KV3, Menuet from 5th English Suite..

Teaching from Mathias Sorof

"On E-Tap-Seminar 2004 in Neufchateau/Belgien Mathias Sorof gave a Master Class with the topic:"The Advantages of the Uncrossed/Parallel-Principal on the Tap-Guitar . This class was accompanied by a performance. Mathias uses the 'Sorof' Tuning - which he has  created in 1980 - on the Chapman Stick. Mathias also plays simultaneously a classical electric guitar held on a stand. and an additional. During his class, he used examples of his compositions and transpositions.

The European Tap Guitar Seminar is totally unique, and the opportunity to learn so much in its enjoyable atmosphere makes it an addictive experience.  Many of us are already looking forward to next summers visit to Neufchâteau.
